Garry Edwards is the Founder and Managing Director of the AAM Investment Group. He has over 20 years’ experience in investments and management within the Australian agribusiness sector.
As an equity investor, he has developed assets and opportunities in livestock production, livestock marketing, value added marketing and processing, and consistently delivered superior financial returns.
Garry studied a Bachelor of Applied Science, Systems Agriculture at the University of Western Sydney, Hawkesbury where he graduated as dux of his course and also received a scholarship to attend the University of Illinois in the United States.
In his early career, Garry created the Livestock Exchange technology platform and developed the technology and systems that today underpin Australia’s multi-billion dollar livestock industry through the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS).
Today, Australia is the envy of all other livestock export markets due to the value attributed to commodities that fall under the NLIS program due to their enhanced market access.
Garry has extensive experience in a diverse range of agricultural businesses from family operations through to large scale integrated corporate agricultural operations across a range of industry sectors.
In 2007, Garry founded AAMIG commencing the development, operation and management of a portfolio of agricultural assets on behalf of Australian Superannuation funds which today trade over $1 billion of livestock annually.
Tim is the Chief Executive Officer for AAMIG, primarily responsible for the operational success of the portfolio of assets managed on behalf of AAMIG.
With over 25 years in agriculture production and livestock supply chains across a range of disciplines, Tim is uniquely qualified to assess the benefits and risks associated with agribusiness investments, and to identify and extract value from opportunities through an active management approach and strategic capital investment.
Tim leads a dedicated team of operational professionals, managing a large portfolio of assets around Australia focused on ensuring strong, risk-managed returns for our client investors.
Ben has over 15 years of banking and finance experience spanning across mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, ratings advisory, transaction advisory and capital structuring.
Ben has an extensive background in structuring and distributing debt and equity transactions through out the U.K. and Australia.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI).
As General Manager – Operations, Ben oversees all operational aspects of AAM Investment Group’s asset management portfolio.
Previously, as General Manager of Andrew Forrest’s Minderoo Group, a vertically integrated beef business, Ben brings a wealth of relevant operational experience to this role.
Ben’s national portfolio responsibilities include efficient and effective operation of all sites for all stakeholders.

Nathan has focused the majority of his career spanning 18 years on excellence in livestock operations, production and management.
Nathan has gained expertise in livestock handling, marketing, production and welfare through the utilisation of advanced technologies, superior livestock facility design and focussed measurability operational solutions.
Together with Nathan’s Degree in Agricultural Business and his broad experience in agricultural operations, Nathan brings with him an excellence in operational management for AAM Investment Group Assets.
Finance Business Partner
Michelle is the Business Finance Partner, and as such manages the ongoing financial review and analysis of our investments, and her team provides information and support to our operational managers to ensure the efficient operation of our assets under management.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from the University of Newcastle, and she is a Chartered Accountant with over 23 years’ experience in the accounting industry prior to joining the AAMIG in 2017.
Michelle’s specialisation is in the agribusiness sector, with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business growth promotion.
